Noodles Nail Polish Cherry on Top Part 3 Summer 2024 Swatches and Reviews

 *press samples*

Hi everyone! I hope all is well with you! I just got home a few days ago from a trade show and concert in Washington DC. We had a great time, but are happy to be at home with the animals. Tonight I've got the newest installment in the Noodles Nail Polish Cherry on Top Collection which all feature clear glitter toppers. This is a 6-piece set which will be available this Wednesday, August 14th at 5 PM EST on the Noodles Nail Polish website for just $10.50 each.

Shall we get to swatches?

Best Techniques for Smoothing Out and Removing Glitter *updated 1/30/24*

Noodles Nail Polish is all about the glitter, all the time. While we all love the bling, it can be a pain to remove. Oh, and it can be known to eat topcoat which leaves texture on the nail after it dries. If you are especially sensitive to feeling your polish, make sure your topcoat is a thick one, or apply a second coat of a thinner one.

Instead of applying 2 coats of thick topcoat, several indie brands have come out with a product that you use after your last coat of polish and before your topcoat. These are generally thick and "fill in" the gaps left from the glitter. Here are several products I use and recommend (in no particular order):

1. Glitter Grabber from Glisten and Glow
2. Gelous from American Classics
3. Criminally Smooth Glitter Smoothing topcoat (dries with a matte finish unlike the others)
5. Ooh Smooth! Glitter Smoothing Mid-coat from Dreamland Lacquer
6. Smooth and Shine Duo from Esmaltes da Kelly (available through Polish Pickup some months)

To use these glitter grabbing topcoats, it's best to let the polish to dry for several minutes before applying. If you apply the glitter grabber too quickly, the nail polish can eat up the glitter grabber a little, making the polish continue to have a little texture, even after the addition of a quick-dry topcoat. Using it this way requires a little more patience, but it's totally worth it.

I also use peel-off basecoats to make removal a breeze. I recommend UNT Ready for Take OffHit the Bottle Keepin' it Peel, or Black Dahlia Lacquer as they all work well (I am not affiliated with any site or brand...I'm just sharing the love). The UNT works better for my body chemistry as the Hit the Bottle will sometimes pop off during the day. It seems like the UNT has been harder to find lately, so there's always the Holo Taco one if you really need one. If you want your polish to last a little longer, I completely understand. In that case, the foil method will work best for you when you're ready for a change. Clips like these are cheap and great for keeping the cotton balls in place. I hope this helps, and feel free to email me or leave a comment with any questions you may have.

Noodles Nail Polish Bejeweled 1 coat (thumb, index, and thumb) over 2 coats Zoya Soraya
Noodles Nail Polish Bejeweled (ring and pinkie) 3 coats only

Up first we have a top pick which is Bejeweled; if you want a glittery topper that shines, this one is for you! It's a clear-based topper with a mix of metallic and holo glitters in fuchsia, sapphire, purple, emerald, gold, silver, and blue in various sizes of hexagonal glitters. This one can be worn alone without much visible nail line in 3 thin dabbing coats. Like all these polishes, I recommend a glitter topping topcoat followed by a quick-dry topcoat to smooth it all out.

Noodles Nail Polish Cosmic Love 1 coat (thumb, index, and thumb) over 2 coats Morgan Taylor Little Black Dress
Noodles Nail Polish Cosmic Love (ring and pinkie) 3 coats only

Up next we have a glitter topper with lots of super fun shapes! You want stars? You got it! You want moons? Yup! You want hearts? Why not?  I recommend turning this upside down for at least 15 minutes to allow those larger glitters to sink to the top for easier application. Since I did that, I didn't have to do any fishing for glitter. The glitter is a bit more sparse, so you will be able to see visible nail line, even with 3 coats. If that bothers you, you'll want to use this as just a topper. I can't wait to wear this one in October!

Noodles Nail Polish Good Vibes 1 coat (thumb, index, and thumb) over 2 coats Zoya Tai
Noodles Nail Polish Good Vibes (ring and pinkie) 3 coats only

Good Vibes is another top pick for the collection. Give me all the pink and turquoise glitters! This one is a clear-based topper with a mix of metallic, matte, and holo hexagonal glitters in gold/watermelon/magenta/blue/fuchsia/turquoise colors. This one also pretty much fully covers the nail if you use 3 coats.

Noodles Nail Polish Mermaid Tales 1 coat (thumb, index, and thumb) over 2 coats Zoya Marisol
Noodles Nail Polish Mermaid Tales (ring and pinkie) 3 coats only

Another polish, another top pick for me! I really wish you could see this one in person; the iridescent flakes really make this one glow. Mermaid Tales is a clear-based topper with cyan/blue/pink/purple shifting flakes with a mix of metallic and holo glitters in magenta/fuchsia/blue colors. You can build this one up most of the way with 3 coats, but I think I personally like this better over a base color. It definitely reminds me of a mermaid or a butterfly wings!

Noodles Nail Polish When Life Gives You Lemons 1 coat (thumb, index, and thumb) over 2 coats Zoya Bondi
Noodles Nail Polish When Life Gives You Lemons (ring and pinkie) 3 coats only

Continuing on we have When Life Gives You Lemons which is a clear-based topper with matte white and yellow hexagonal and circular glitters, various shades of matte pink glitters, and a touch of fine gold holo glitters. This one reminds me of pink lemonade for sure. This one is glitter dense, so you can fully cover the nail with 3 coats (but you'll have lots of texture on the nail). It's basically summer in a bottle.

Noodles Nail Polish White Hot 1 coat (thumb, index, and thumb) over 2 coats Zoya Ryan
Noodles Nail Polish White Hot (ring and pinkie) 3 coats only

Last, but certainly not least we have White Hot which is a clear-based topper with a scattered holo base with white matte hexagonal glitters, and a touch of fine silver holo flakes. I used a deep navy base to really showcase the holo finish and white glitters, but I think this would look amazing on a wide array of base colors. I have a bit of yellowing to my nails and the small glitters and flakes allows that to show through which is my fault, but I think this looks good in 3 coats on its own. Love it!

There you have it, folks! Don't forget that this isn't a Friday release, but a Wednesday one! My top picks have to be Bejeweled, Good Vibes, and Mermaid Tales, but they're all so fun. You can find out more about Noodles Nail Polish on their websiteInstagram pageFacebook page, and Facebook Fan Group
