Hello hello! Can you believe it's almost August?! When did that happen? As usual, Polish Pickup sneaked up on me, and this month's inspiration is Dreamscapes. The website is open now for making your wishlists, so stop on over and set that up if something you want has a bottle limit. It seems like things have been selling out fairly quickly which is great for the brands participating.
The shop officially opens at 11:00 AM ET Friday, August 4th and ends on Monday, August 7th at 11:59 PM (but if a polish has a bottle limit and sells out before the end of the pre-order, it's gone, unless you get lucky and the cap gets raised...which is rare) on the PPU website. Just a heads-up, PPU raised their base shipping rates from $3 to $4 for the lightest packages. USPS keeps raising their prices, so at some point it gets too high and brands cannot eat those prices forever. If you get heavier items, I believe shipping prices get higher. I can't believe I haven't seen/read The BFG. Have you? Is it just me? If Natalie makes it a theme, I tend to like it, so I should definitely watch it some weekend. This month we have a glitter topper! Phizzwizard can be used alone with 3 coats which is what is shown in the first photos, or used as a topper for any base color you'd like. It's a clear-based topper with blue/teal/green/indigo color shifting flakes, turquoise/black holo and matte glitters, and a touch of a scattered holo finish. The holo shimmer is more evident when you use it as a topper. If you use Phizzwizard as a stand alone polish, I found that dabbing the polish on works best. You may be able to see a little bit of nail underneath, but it's not as noticeable in person. It does dry with lots of texture, so I recommend a glitter smoother topcoat followed by a quick-dry topcoat to really get that smooth finish. I love it!
