Polish Pickup Fairs and Carnivals June 2022: Noodles Nail Polish

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great long weekend as we remembered those who lost their lives while serving our country. If you may remember, my husband was diagnosed with COVID a little over a week ago and he is doing better. Today is the last day he has to stay masked in the house, so I'll be very excited to finally eat dinner and sleep in the same bed as him! I am at a high risk for long COVID, so he has been especially worried about giving it to me, but I somehow managed to fend it off this time. I hope you're still staying safe out there. 

On a much brighter note, Polish Pickup starts at 11:00 AM ET this Friday, June 3rd and ends on Monday, June 6th at 11:59 PM (but if a polish has a bottle limit and sells out before the end of the pre-order, it's gone, unless you get lucky and the cap gets raised...which is rare) on the PPU website. This month's inspiration is Fairs and Carnivals which I feel has been done in a previous year, but I can't find out if that's true. I used to add a blurb in here about cheap PPU shipping, but honestly it's all changed so much that most orders are no longer $3. I just wanted to mention this to any newcomers to the Pickup. I love fairs. The food, the rides, the art, the animals....I love it all. As much as I love all the food, is it just me or has fair food gotten expensive? Like, really expensive? Since it's a once a year splurge, it's worth it. This month Noodles Nail Polish has Take Flight which is a medium sage green crelly base with metallic rose and pink hexagonal holo glitters, soft pink shimmer, and light gold microflakes. Confession time: I love pink and green together. In college, my decor was all pink and green and I love it to this day. This one does dry with texture due to all the glitters, so I recommend a glitter topcoat followed by a quick-dry topcoat for the smoothest finish. It had an easy formula to work with, and I needed just 2 coats for full opacity.

Hi everyone! How have things been in your world? Welp, it finally happened: my husband caught COVID after 2 and a half years. He started to feel ill on Saturday night, and he has to isolate until at least Friday. So far I've been able to ward it off *fingers crossed* and we've been living in separate parts of the house. Thankfully it has been fairly mild, but I know being completely isolated in 1 small room has been hard for him. Please keep him in your thoughts. On a brighter note, I have the 5-piece Naturel 5 collection from Zoya that tend to be more neutral or nude and are released during that "transitional" period between winter and spring. 

This set features 5 creams - 4 brown/beige shades and a deep plummy purple. These, along with the 4 Naturel collections, are all available now on the Zoya website for $12 each. Polish Pickup May 2022 National Parks and Landmarks: Noodles Nail Polish

Hi everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start. I suffer from allergies, and while they haven't been bad so far this year, today that all changed. Ugh, so much sneezing and a runny nose! Do any of you suffer from seasonal allergies? I actually have to take Zyrtec every day to keep my allergies at bay. And do you know when my allergies especially go haywire? When at national parks! It just so happens that this months Polish Pickup inspiration is National Parks and Landmarks! 

Tonight I've got this month's Polish Pickup shade from Noodles Nail Polish to share with you. I am always so excited to see what the makers come up with every month, and they never disappoint! Noodles Nail Polish Trevi Wishes (2 coats)

Inspiration: the Trevi Fountain in Italy and silver and copper coins tossed in when making a wish

I'm going to be honest, I've seen pictures of the Trevi Fountain before, but I had no idea that was its name! Who ever said you can't learn anything from enjoying nail polish? Trevi Wishes is a light taupe crelly base with aqua, silver, and copper hexagonal and circular glitters in matte and metallic finishes. I expected this to be a 3-coater due to the light base color, but I'm happy to state that it was perfectly opaque in just 2. It dries with texture due to all of the glitter, so I recommend a coat of a glitter smoothing topcoat followed up with a coat of a quick-dry topcoat for that smooth finish.
