Hey everyone! Guess who's fashionably late on this post? I've also got the Zoya Winter collection ready to go, so this will be a very Zoya-heavy week. They just had a big sale earlier in the week, but their big Earth Day promotion will be around before you know it. The fall Nostalgic Collection is a 6-piece set of creams that are still available and retail for $12 each. Swatch time!
Zoya Austin (2 coats)
We're starting off with one of my top picks of the collection, Austin. While it doesn't seem like a traditional "fall" color, it's a beautiful medium periwinkle blue cream color. It applied well in just 2 easy coats. Since these are all creams in the collection, a thin coat of topcoat was enough, and removal was super easy.
Zoya Becca (2 coats)
Up next we have Becca which Zoya describes as a blackened fig cream. Honestly, I don't think of figs in terms of the outside, but from the flesh on the inside. To me this one just looks like a deep purple cream. Very traditional, but I can see this being popular for a fall polish. The first coat was a little patchy, but it fully covered with the second.
Zoya Cooper (2 coats)
You give me a weird green, you know it's going to be a favorite. Cooper is a medium warm-toned olive green cream. This one definitely leans on the yellow side. It was another 2 coater and it had a smooth formula.
Zoya Mila (2 coats)
Mila is a deep maroon cream with berry undertones that is a very fall shade. The first coat was a bit uneven, but the second coat fixed this.
Zoya Rumi (2 coats)
The last 2 shades are interesting choices for a fall collection. Sure, pinks can be worn any time of year, but Zoya tends to stick to traditional shades popular for that time of year. The first shade is Rumi which is a medium rosey pink cream. Zoya calls it a muted terracotta, but I find it to be too pink and less brown. This is another shade that had a perfect formula in just 2 coats.
Zoya Viv (2 coats)
Last, but not least we have Viv which is the second pink, but definitely a cooler (more blue-toned) pink than Rumi. To me it looks like Pepto Bismol. 2 coats.
There you have it, folks! My top picks from the collection are Austin and Cooper. Zoya polishes retail for $12 and you can find out more about them on their website, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram pages. Keep an eye out for them in your local Ulta store if you want to see the bottles in person before you buy. They often have sales, so check their social media pages periodically.
