Polish Pickup November 2021 Game Night Swatches and Reviews from Noodles Nail Polish and Starlight and Sparkles

 *press samples*

How is it November?! It seems like it was April a few weeks ago. Before you know it, we will be falling back for daylight savings time (which I hate)! This is a very special week for me because I have the week off! I don't have much planned, except my parents will be coming on Wednesday and I haven't seen them in months. Can you believe the November Polish Pickup starts this Friday? This month's inspiration is Game Night, and I'm one of those weird people who doesn't like board games. I know! My husband, on the other hand, absolutely loves them.

New to PPU? If so, here's how it works: Definitely join the Polish Pickup Facebook Group. You don't necessarily need to actively participate in the group, but it will give you a look at the polishes that will be available in the coming month. PPU themes are chosen by the people, often a few months in advance (brands need time to find their inspiration and test their polish). Any indie brand that has been around for at least a year can participate and each has their own specific inspiration picture and polish for that month. All you need to do is go to the Polish Pickup site during the pre-order window (the first Friday-Monday of the month) to make all of your purchases of these exclusive polishes. There's no need to pay for multiple shipping charges; since this is a pre-order, all polishes get sent to Polish Pickup and they send you the polishes you ordered. Yup, it's that simple. *Shipping Price Update 2021* Orders weighing up to 7 oz will still ship to the US for $3 while all other US orders will ship for $5 (more for international and they just had to increase the pricing to Canada). Since all orders are pre-orders, shipping will take place about 3 weeks after the end of the pre-order.

PPU starts Friday, November 5th at 11:00 AM ET and ends on Monday, November 8th at 11:59 PM (but if a polish has a bottle limit and sells out before the end of the pre-order, it's gone, unless you get lucky and the cap gets raised...which is rare) on the PPU website. Shall we get to some pictures?

Noodles Nail Polish Who Done It? (3 coats)
Inspiration: Murder mystery party game
Price: $12
Bottle Limit: None

Can you believe I've never been to a murder mystery party? Honestly, I think that would be fun! Who Done It? is a burgundy crelly base with violet/red/purple/orange and orange/pink/gold UCC shifting flakes, holo flakes, and red glitters. Give me all the polishes with glitter and flakes! This one has such a fall feeling to it. You would likely get away with using just 2 coats, but I did 3 because it added a nice depth to the polish. It dried with texture, so you'll likely need 2 coats of topcoat or use a coat of glitter grabber to smooth it all out.

Starlight Polish How Many Dice Do You Need? (1 coat over black base)
Inspiration: With so many gorgeous dice available, I think everyone in this community knows the answer to this one, and it’s all of them! Dice have changed so much from when I got my first set, and even then, there were still a lot of colors and options, and it was hard not to want a bunch of them! Now? There are so many absolutely breathtaking dice sets from small businesses and individuals, ranging from handmade resin dice, to intricately designed metal dice, to dice made from natural stone, and so options for dice size, and even special shapes! You can get dice with flakes, glitter, holo, shimmer, color shift, and more!
Price: $11.00
Bottle Limit: 150 bottles

Issa is so right, there are so many unique dice these days! I think with more people working with resins, we are seeing more interesting pieces. How Many Dice Do You Need? is an effect top coat chock full of sparkle. It has teal/blue/pink/purple shifting shimmer, holographic microflakes, holo glitter, and a beautiful rainbow of color-shifting translucent aurora flakes. The iridescent flakes are the real standouts for me, and this one will work with a wide variety of base colors. I went ahead and used black because it really shows what's going on in the topcoat. I can't wait to wear this with some of my other polishes. I found that it didn't really have much texture, so a coat of regular topcoat will keep it all smooth. This one does have a cap, so don't wait too long to pick it up.

Starlight and Sparkles Chess Page Marker Set
Inspiration: I enjoy chess (I was even part of chess club in high school!), but I have to admit, I’m not particularly good at it. I don’t think more than one or two moves ahead, and I’ve never had the patience to memorize strategies or common movesets. I like playing with what I can see in front of me, and what I can think of for myself, and I don’t mind losing (which is fortunate, because I lose a lot!) because I really enjoy just playing, no matter the outcome.
Price: $12
Product Limit: 60 sets

Chess is another game I've never played, but in recent years I've learned some of the rules and sounds so hard! I dunno, thinking that many moves ahead would be difficult for me, too. This month's page marker set has 6 markers, with white and black beads and a small antique silver-colored chess piece. Each set has a pawn, knight, bishop, rook, queen, and a king.

Due to the shape of the paperclips, the charms can't freely slide all around the paperclip. These paperclips are very secure, and hold several sheets at a time (and they're less likely to leave paperclip imprints on the page they're attached to). I use these all over the office and they make a great stocking stuffer for the upcoming holidays.

There you have it, folks! The website is open for wishlisting, so head on over now to do some window shopping. There is a great deal of variety of this month, and I'm loving it. A few of these items have a cap, so it's best to add your items to your cart the night before the sale goes live. You need to have an account and sign in first before adding your wish listed items to the cart. Easy peasy. What do you think? Which ones are you picking up?
