Noodles Nail Polish 2020 Summer Fruit Collection Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hi guys! Obviously I took a little time off after that huge Polished Gamers undertaking. It was a challenge and I'm so glad I was able to finish it all on time while working full-time during a pandemic. Work has been crazy busy lately, too. Tonight I have the newest Noodles Nail Polish collection which features 6 neon glitter crellies that just brightened my mood instantly. This set will be available on Wednesday, July 1st at 5 PM EST on noodlesnailpolish.com for $9.50 each. Can you believe next week is July?! Yes, half of 2020 is gone. If you told me tomorrow that it was June 1st, I'd totally believe you because what is time any more?

Enough talking, I know what you're all here for :-D Shall we get to the swatches?

Best Techniques for Smoothing Out and Removing Glitter

If you read my posts about Noodles, you'll see this little blurb posted each time. And if you can believe it, I do update this as I find new products I think would be helpful. Noodles Nail Polish are very glitter-heavy polishes, so I thought I'd mention the best techniques to remove glitter. Since they all contain glitter, they will dry with some texture, so I recommend at least 1 coat of topcoat. If you are especially sensitive to feeling your polish, make sure your topcoat is a thick one, or apply a second coat of a thinner one. I recently purchased a topcoat from Dollish Polish that is called Glitter Wrangler and can be used to handle pesky glitter. For the most glitter-dense polishes, I used a coat of Gelous followed by a coat of Glitter Wrangler and had completely smooth finishes. The other product I purchased from Polish Pickup a few months ago was from Esmaltes da Kelly called the Smooth and Shine Duo which had 2 toppers that you put over glitter to smooth it all out. She recently brought it back in a slightly different form a couple months ago, so keep your eyes peeled for for it.

I also use peel-off basecoats to make removal a breeze. I recommend UNT Ready for Take Off, or Hit the Bottle Keepin' it Peel as they both work well (I am not affiliated with either site or brand...I'm just sharing the love). The UNT works better for my body chemistry as the Hit the Bottle will sometimes pop off during the day. If you want your polish to last a little longer, I completely understand. In that case, the foil method will work best for you when you're ready for a change. Clips like these are cheap and great for keeping the cotton balls in place. I hope this helps, and feel free to email me or leave a comment with any questions you may have.

Noodles Nail Polish Doin My Berry Best (3 coats)

We're starting off with a bang! Doin My Berry Best is one of my top picks and is a cornflower blue crelly base with neon blue and purple glitters, white matte glitters, silver holo glitters, and a touch of silver holo flakes in circle and hexagonal glitter shapes. I used three thin coats for my swatches, and it dried with a lot of texture, so bust out that topcoat (see above). The formula was a tiny bit thinner than some other Noodles, but in a good way. Glitter polishes normally need a thick base to keep the glitter suspended, so it was nice to have a thinner consistency. There was no sinking glitter, either. Love this blue!

Noodles Nail Polish Main Squeeze (3 coats)

Main Squeeze just so happens to be another top pick for me. It's that neon glitter and silver flake combo that won me over instantly. Main Squeeze is a turquoise crelly base with silver holo glitters/flakes and neon pink/purple/green/blue/yellow/orange glitter in circular and hexagonal shapes. This is basically the epitome of a summer shade. I used 3 thin coats for my photos, and it dried with lots of texture.

Noodles Nail Polish Melon-choly (3 coats)

Up next is Melon-choly which is a neon pink crelly base with neon pink and green glitters, white matte glitters, silver holo glitters, and a touch of silver holo flakes. One of my favorite colors to wear is pink, and this is such a bright Barbie pink and I'm loving it! I used 3 thin coats for full coverage, and it dried with texture. Reminder, look at the top of this page for my recommendations on how to get a smooth finish on your nail.

Noodles Nail Polish Partners in Lime (3 coats)

Natalie said it perfectly when she said Partners in Lime makes her want to have a margarita. Obviously this one is brighter than a margarita, but it's in the same vein. It also reminds me a little bit of the green slime from You Can't Say That on Television back when it was on Nickelodeon (is that dating me a bit?). Any way you look at it, this is another favorite from the collection. Partners in Lime is a neon green crelly base with neon green and yellow glitters, white matte glitters, silver holo glitters, and a touch of silver holo flakes. I love the green and yellow combo in this one.

Noodles Nail Polish Simply the Zest (3 coats)

I wasn't sure how Simply the Zest would look with my NC20 warm/yellow toned skin, and I shouldn't have worried. It dried slightly darker which I think allows it to work well with all skin tones. Simply the Zest is a pale coral crelly that leans a bit peachy orange with neon yellow and orange glitters, white matte glitters, silver holo glitters, and a touch of silver holo flakes. It's just so bright and juicy! I used 3 thin coats for my photos, and it dried with texture.

Noodles Nail Polish So Grapeful (3 coats)

Purple lovers unite! So Grapeful is a vibrant neon magenta leaning violet crelly base with pink and purple neon glitters, white matte glitters, silver holo glitters, and a touch of silver holo flakes. It's a bit magenta, but with more purple. This is three thin coats, and it also dried with texture.

There you have it, folks! Looking at the collage with all the neon colors together just makes me smile. There has been so much negativity in the world right now that painting my nails has been necessary to relax at the end of the night. Of course I loved painting my nails pre-Covid, but it was more just going through the motions. It may sound silly, but the bright colors in the collection lifted my mood every day. Has anyone else been enjoying these self-care acts more lately? My top picks from the collection have to be Doin My Berry Best, Main Squeeze, and Partners in Lime. Don't forget, these will be available this Wednesday at 5 PM EST on the Noodles Nail Polish website. If you are unable to purchase right now, Natalie usually has her polishes stick around for a few months so you likely have some extra time if you need it. Please be safe and wear a mask. 💕You can find out more about Noodles Nail Polish on their websiteInstagram pageFacebook page, and Facebook Fan Group.
