Leesha's Lacquer Spring 2019 Collection Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hi guys! I told you I'd be coming at you with a lot of posts. Now you can't get rid of me! I've got more bright and colorful spring shades to share with you. I'm so excited that Leesha's Lacquers made a whole collection of contrasting shimmers! I've been asking for this for years because I can never get enough of them. This 5-piece set will debut at Polish Con this Saturday and online on Monday, April 8th at 6 PM CT on the Etsy page and website. Both full-size (15 mL) and mini (7.5 mL) bottles will be available for $10 and $5, respectively. Shall we get a closer look at these lovely polishes?

Formula and Application

I thought it would be best to tell you how these applied since they were all the same. The formula was slightly thickened (in a good way) and self-leveled nicely. I recommend not over-working the polish or the shimmer will show some brushstrokes. I found that sort of floating the second coat onto the nail gave the smoothest look with limited brushstrokes.

Leesha's Lacquer Anew Anemones (2 coats)

Up first is Anew Anemones which is a blurple base with red shimmer that can shift a bit gold. It leans a bit more blue on my skintone.

Leesha's Lacquer Blooming Bluebells (2 coats)

Side note, I love bluebells. They are a little blue, and a little purple, so Blooming Bluebells is a perfect match. It's a purple base with strong blue shimmer flashes.

Leesha's Lacquer Patch of Peonys (2 coats)

I'm used to seeing pink peonies, but they definitely come in coral shades just like Patch of Peonys. It's a bright neon coral base with green contrasting shimmer that leans gold.

Leesha's Lacquer Sun-Kissed Snowdrops (3 coats)

Sun-Kissed Snowdrops is the wildcard for the collection. It's a chartreuse green base with red shimmer. It's a unique and intriguing polish. I should note that this is the only one from the collection that required a third coat. It has lots of yellow undertones, so this isn't surprising.

Leesha's Lacquer Teeming with Tulips (2 coats)

Last, but certainly not least is Teeming with Tulips which is a bright pink base with green contrasting shimmer that can lean a bit gold.

I usually give some top picks, but for this collection, I think you need them all. I'm a bit biased due to my undying love for contrasting shimmer, but who cares? At the very least buy yourself a set of the minis if you are at all unsure. If you can't make it to Polish Con this weekend, plop yourself down at the computer on Monday, April 8th at 6 PM CT to purchase these online. You can find out more about Leesha's Lacquer on their website, Facebook Group, and Instagram pages.
