Hi guys! I hope you had a good Labor Day weekend. I pretty much spent most of it resting up and trying to clean tar off of my car. I do so much highway driving and got lots of dots of tar on the front of my car. After lots of scrubbing and inhaling of solvents, my car is mostly clean now. Tonight I have a duo inspired by Thriller from Michael Jackson. Thriller is easily my favorite Michael Jackson song and video. Yes, all 14 minutes of it. The duo consists of polishes from Zombie Claw Polish and Static Lacquer and it will be available from Wednesday, 9/5 at 4 PM EST to Wednesday, 9/12 in the Zombie Claw Polish website. You can purchase them individually for $11, or save yourself a few bucks and purchase the duo for $18 ($21 shipped). Shall we go ahead and look at some swatches?
Zombie Claw Polish Foulest Stench of Blood (3 coats)
Up first we've got Foulest Stench of Blood from Zombie Claw Polish which is an orange, red, gold, and magenta metallic base with various colors of UCC flakes. The flakes are bright and cheerful and contrast well with the base. This is my first time trying Zombie Claw Polish, and I immediately noticed that awesome holo label. A+ for presentation. I used 3 thinner coats for my swatches, but you could get away with 2 thicker ones. The formula was on the thicker side, but not in a bad way.
Static Lacquer The Dead Start to Walk (3 coats)
Up next is The Dead Start to Walk from Static Lacquer which is a light jade green base with green shimmer, silver holo flakes, and green/copper/gold UCC flakes. It's a softer look, with gorgeous flakes. I used 3 thin coats for my photos, and the formula was on the thicker side. I didn't need to add any polish thinner or anything, but if you prefer a thinner consistency, you may need to add a couple drops.
These are both gorgeous flakie polishes that you need in your collection. $21 shipped for both of them is a great price from some up-and-coming indie brands. Again, these are available this Wednesday at 4 PM EST in the Zombie Claw Polish website.
