Hi guys! I spent this past weekend in Chicago for work and I'm happy to be home in my own bed. The blog will be featuring the indie brand Pepper Pot Polish this week, so make sure to stop back to see what Mackenzie has in store for you. Tonight I have a fundraiser polish that was created in partnership with the famous cat Winston Churchill (@winstonpurrchill on Instagram). Mackenzie is a huge cat lover (as am I) and she has graciously offered to donate 20% of all proceeds made in her store between 12pm PST May 11th & 11:59pm PST May 18th to the Seattle Humane Society. It's Winston! will be available as a pre-order during this time, and will not be made again (expect It's Winston! to ship ~2 weeks after the pre-order). If you order the exclusive polish, along with regular store items, all product will be treated like pre-order items and shipped at the later time frame. Shall we get a little more acquainted with It's Winston!?
Pepper Pot Polish It's Winston! (2 coats)
It's Winston! is one of those polishes that will look different on everyone. It's definitely more of a grey base on my skintone, but I've seen it look more blue on others. It's chock full of gold, turquoise, and purple flakes in a crelly base. The flakes remained flat on the nail, and it dried with just a little bit of texture. Oh, did I mention that Winston the cat is a grey kitty? I've never owned a grey cat, but I've always wanted one. I used 2 coats for full opacity, and the formula was very easy to work with. I used 1 coat of topcoat to smooth it all out in the photos above.
It's Winston! will retail for $11, and 20% of this will go to the Seattle Humane Society. All 3 of my cats were rescue cats, so this is very near and dear to my heart. Grey polishes are my favorite, and I recommend this one wholeheartedly. Definitely check Pepper Pot this coming Friday for It's Winston, and another 4-piece collection inspired by the B-52s that I will be showing later in the week. Also make sure to check out Pepper Pot's other products like lip balm, lip gloss, and body oils. Very nice polish! A lot of depth to that.
Thanks, I love it so much, too!
