Pepper Pot Polish Paradise Found Collection 2017 Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hi guys! I know it's been a hot minute since I've posted, but I was super busy in LA last week. The weather was beautiful out there, but I didn't get to enjoy it since I was working the whole time. Tonight I'm debuting Pepper Pot Polish's Paradise Found Collection on the blog. The owner, Mackenzie, is from Washington state, and there's been some awesome press surrounding the brand (see here and here). It's a 5-piece collection of creamy shimmers inspired by 1960's ads from Hawaii. It will make more sense in just a moment. This set will release this Friday, February 23rd, at 12 PM PST. Each polish will retail for $10 each, or $45 for the collection. I mean, you may as well buy all of them because they're beautiful and you can save yourself $5! Shall we get a closer look?

I mean, you can obviously see the influence here!Think Elvis in Blue Hawaii from 1961. Shimmers are my favorite finish, so I was very excited to try these.

Pepper Pot Blue Hawaii (3 coats)

Speaking of the movie Blue Hawaii, the polish is a pastel sky blue creme with silver and blue shimmer. The blue shimmer actually looks a little speckled which I loved. It's harder to see the silver shimmer in pictures, but it's apparent in person. I went ahead and used 3 thin coats for this one since it verges on pastel. The formula was perfect, and was easy to remove.

Pepper Pot Lauhala (2 coats)

Up next is Lauhala which is a yellow-toned green with gold, blue, and green shimmer. This is definitely one of my top picks from the set. It's just so lush and full of shimmer. It was one of the most opaque polishes, and I used 2 coats for full coverage. Even with the more apparent shimmer, it removed easily.

Pepper Pot Mai Tais in the Afternoon (2 coats)

I can see myself wearing Mai Tais in the Afternoon on my toes all summer. Pink-based corals always look great on tanned skin. I mean, I don't get much sun because I work in a windowless room, but a girl can always dream of my time in Hawaii. Mai Tais in the Afternoon is a bright coral with gold contrasting shimmer. It was another 2 coater with a perfect formula and easy removal.

Pepper Pot Paradise Awaits! (2 coats)

Paradise Awaits! is an interesting color. It's the darkest of the collection, and is a midnight blue base with blue and silver shimmer. It's lighter on the silver shimmer, which makes it look a bit like stars in the night sky. Sometimes blues can stain the nails or cuticles, but I had no issues with Paradise Awaits!. The formula was perfect in 2 coats, and removal was easy. I was a little more careful with the removal just in case it would stain, but that wasn't a problem.

Pepper Pot The Royal (3 coats)

Last, but not least, we have The Royal which is named after the famous hotel in Hawaii (see the ad from above). I love unique hotel and house colors, don't you? Another city known for bright houses is Charleston, SC. If you have the chance to visit Charleston, make sure to do that, too. The Royal polish is a baby pink creme base with silver and pink shimmer. It's pretty much Blue Hawaii's sister color. Again, notice the beautiful sprinkling of darker pink shimmer. Since it's more of a pastel, I went ahead and used 3 coats for the photos. The first coat was slightly streaky, but it built up well after 2. It was yet another easy color to remove.

There you have it, everyone! My top picks are Lauhala, Mai Tais in the Afternoon, and Paradise Awaits!. There really isn't a disappointing polish among them, and they are very appropriately named and priced. It's obvious that Mackenzie did a lot of homework and was really inspired by Hawaii for this collection. This set will release this Friday, February 23rd, at 12 PM PST. Each polish will retail for $10 each, or $45 for the collection. Also make sure to check out Pepper Pot's other products like lip balm, lip gloss, and body oils.
