Hi guys! So...I've been gone a week. In that week I celebrated my 10 year anniversary, and was sick. I was mostly just sick. My dad caught something while visiting and he was so kind to give it to me. I usually do my nails every night, but I skipped it most days last week (which also put me behind on some upcoming collections). Remember when I started the Morgan Taylor Matadora Collection many days ago? Shall we see how the second half fares?
Morgan Taylor I'm Drawing a Blanco (3 coats)
Go ahead and pretend that my nails here are the same length as the other photos from the collection, thanks. I may have confused this with another polish and swatched this one a month after the others-oops! I'm Drawing a Blanco is a white base with silver and gold shimmer. This definitely skates the border of frosty, don't you think? You have to be careful with brushstrokes with this one as well so use a light hand with the last coat. It was also the sheerest of collection, and needed 3 coats for opaque coverage. You may see some visible nail line in the photos, but you couldn't see it in person. This feels like a winter color, right?
Morgan Taylor Mauve Your Feet (2 coats)
Up next is Mauve Your Feet which is a neutral nude mauve creme. I think it works well with my warm skintone, too (do you think it would work with cool-toned skin?). I honestly think this is another favorite from the collection. It dries a shade darker on the nail than the bottle color. It applied easily in just 2 coats.
Morgan Taylor Ole My Way (2 coats)
And finally we have Ole My Way which is blackened navy shimmer. The shimmer isn't too noticeable and only comes out when the light hits it right. You won't see any brush strokes, and it dries with no texture. Be careful when removing this one because it can stain the cuticle area a bit. Pictures show just 2 easy coats.
Overall, they all applied well, but it's not my favorite Morgan Taylor Collection. My top picks would have to be Don't Break My Corazon, Mauve Your Feet, and Ole My Way. I guess my only minor gripe is that none of them are extremely unique. Of course, I have a huge collection, so these may be unique to you. If gel polishes are more your style, then you'll be happy to know that this collection is also available in the mini Gelish bottles. These retail for $9 each and can be found on the Loxa Beauty website now. Learn more about Morgan Taylor on their Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or Youtube sites.
