Zoya Spring 2017 Charming Collection Swatches and Reviews: Part I

*press samples*

Hi guys! Tonight I'm back with the post I meant to put up on Monday. Zoya recently released their 6-piece spring collection which features 3 cremes and 3 shimmers. I'm posting these alphabetically so you're going to see a mix of finishes. Without further ado, let's get to the reviews!

Zoya Abby (2 coats)

Up first we have Abby which is a light lavender creme. It's a pretty color, and is your standard pastel purple color for a spring collection. I didn't find it to be chalky at all, and was self-leveling in 2 coats.

Zoya Amira (3 coats)

You guys know I normally prefer shimmery polishes. Amira is a dusky blue/grey with silver shimmer and gold flakes. Some bloggers have mentioned that they think this one falls a little flat, but I don't 100% agree with that. I do wish the base was slightly brighter, but I still love the muted tone and gold flakes. The formula was a bit sheerer than the cremes, but was fully opaque in 3 thin coats. If you have shorter nails you may be able to get away with 2 thicker coats.

Zoya Jordan (2 coats)

I'm just guessing, but I think this one is named for those Jordan almond candies. I didn't really like almonds growing up, so I don't even know if I've ever had one. They're a popular wedding candy right? Anyway, Jordan the polish is a light pink creme. Again, it's not chalky at all, but I did notice that it darkened a bit after using topcoat. I'm not sure what it is about particular pinks like these, but this isn't the first one to do it. And I've tried many different topcoats to no avail. It's not drastically different, but if you look closely at my nails, you can see a little outline without topcoat. It was slightly gloopy, but I didn't find the need to use thinner or anything.

What do you think of the first half of the Charming Collection? Don't forget that Zoya also has the Springlettes for sale (which includes other spring-like colors). Zoya polishes retail for $10 and you can find out more about them on their websiteFacebookTwitter, or Instagram pages. Keep an eye out for them in your local Ulta store if you want to see the bottles in person before you buy.
