Hi guys! It's Friday Eve and I can't wait for the weekend. I don't really have any specific plans except to swatch the Tonic Holiday Collection that should be here in the next day or 2. There hasn't been such buzz about a new indie brand in years, and I can't wait to see what the buzz is all about. Tonight I have 2 of the 4 polishes from the Different Dimension Poe Collection. Fun fact: I am a huge Edgar Allan Poe Fan. I've always wanted to visit the museum in Baltimore, but thus far I haven't been successful in getting there. Anyway, with that how about we get to some swatches?
Different Dimension Nevermore (2 coats, diffused LED daylight)
Different Dimension Nevermore (2 coats, direct LED daylight to show holo effect)
As soon as I saw pictures of the collection, I knew I had to have nevermore. Upon first glance it looks like a normal blackened linear holo polish, but look closer and you can see the strong orange microglitter and shimmer. It's definitely visible on the nail in real life, but in pictures you can see it better in the bottle. I love this one, and it doesn't have to be Halloween for you to enjoy it. It was extremely opaque and applied smoothly in just 2 coats.
Different Dimension Once Upon a Midnight Dreary (3 coats)
You know I had to get the jelly glitter from the collection. It was only $5, so even if it wasn't my favorite, I wouldn't be out too much money. Good news is that I think it's really cool. It's a black jelly base with lots of pink, blue, orange, and green hexagonal glitter in 2 different sizes. I think Different Dimension does a great job at glitters like these, so I recommend them. The formula wasn't too thick, but you'll definitely need 3 thin coats for full coverage. It was a slightly sticky formula, but that is expected with the polish type.
These are both still for sale in the Different Dimension website so check it out! If you don't want to miss out on anything Different Dimension, make sure to follow them on their website, Facebook, or Instagram pages.
