Hi guys! Did you have a good weekend? Mine was pretty good. I went to the beautiful arboretum in Raleigh on Saturday for their yearly plant giveaway. I'm still not 100% sure of all the plants we got, but I know we got a couple butterfly bushes, an elephant ear, some hens and chicks, and sedum. Not too shabby overall. Since we had Nibs & Nails on Friday we were unable to finish up the final swatches of the Sweetheart Squadron collection, but that will change tonight. Follow me after the break to see what's in store.
Morgan Taylor Rule the Runway (2 coats)
Up first is Rule the Runway which is that greige (grey/beige) color that was all over the place a few years ago. It also pulls a little purple as well. It's quite work-appropriate, but not boring in the least. Pictures show 2 easy coats.
Morgan Taylor Up in the Air-Heart (2 coats)
I was a little surprised to see Up in the Air-Heart because it is fairly similar to Perfect Landing shown last week. Perfect Landing is a brighter coral, whereas Up in the Air-Heart is more of a dusty peachy coral creme. I can see the 2 colors being used together in some nail art for sure. As you can see, it also dries a shade or 2 darker than the bottle color. It applied well and only needed 2 coats for full opacity.
Overall, I love the inspiration of the collection. My top recommendations would be Perfect Landing and Oh Para-chute, but you can't go wrong with any of them. Morgan Taylor polishes can sometimes be hard to find, but you can finally buy them online without a license from Loxa Beauty for $9.00 each (hint, some of the polishes are on sale for as low as $4.25). The collection was also released in mini bottles, and you can buy the set of 4 for only $15. You can keep up with Morgan Taylor on their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages as well.
