RIP Prince. I was lucky enough to see him in concert a few years ago with my brother. 3rd row seats. During one of the songs, Prince wanted the lights up, and for everyone to sing a particular part. Of course my brother and I obliged. Prince happened to look over, smile, then point at me (or my brother...who knows)! My brother claimed he pointed at him. Truth be told, while I was a big fan, my brother was even bigger. He was the one who got the great tickets for us. I think Prince smiled and pointed at my brother. He probably saw the glee on his face. He put on such a great concert that I'll never forget.
On that depressing note, let's talk about something happy and lighthearted like Hello Kitty. The OPI Hello Kitty collection was released a few months ago and I just got around to buying a few. It's pink galore with a few splashes of color. Follow me after the break for more information.
Look at these adorable bottles!
OPI Let's Be Friends (3 coats)
Let's Be Friends is a milky baby pink creme that just screams Sanrio! I remember as a little kid I'd go into this little gift shop at the mall where they always had the mini Hello Kitty sticker books. Remember those? Ah, memories. The formula left a lot to be desired. It was very streaky and chalky in the 3 coats that were needed. It also didn't want to self-level, but topcoat easily helped that. BUT IT'S HELLO KITTY SO TOTALLY WORTH IT!
OPI Look at My Bow! (2 coats)
More pink. This time, Look at My Bow! is a blue-based bubblegum pink. It's not a life-changing color, but it's still really pretty. And the formula is much better on this one as well.
Stayed tuned because I have 2 more colors from the collection to show you. OPI polishes retail for $10.00 (they must have raised their prices $0.50 recently) and you can find them at your local Sally's Beauty Supply and Ulta stores. Find out more information about OPI on their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages.
