Right on the Nail ~ Pretty Woman Polish Review and Swatch: Tis the Season

Pretty Woman Tis the Season (2 coats) over 2 coats wHet Opulent

*press sample*

I'm still sick. Blah. Sorry for the sporadic posting, but I've been traveling, have had family in town, and been sick. It's been a good and bad break so far.

Anyway, Pretty Woman polish is a newer brand that has quite the variety of gel polishes, regular polishes, nail kits, etc. Tonight I have a glitter nail topper called Tis the Season which is holiday themed with green, red and white glitters. It applied very well and it was very easy to spread the glitters on the nail. Did I mention it was oh so festive?

Their polishes are $7.99 each on their website, and you can find more information on their website, Facebook, and Twitter  pages.

Right on the Nail ~ wHet Nail Lacquer Swatch and Review: Opulent

wHet Opulent (2 coats)

*press sample*

Many of you may have tried wHet before in your Ipsy bags, but I was still on the waiting list at that point. I was fortunate that I was provided a few colors to review for you, some which are appropriate for this time of year. wHet is a 3-free company with limited edition colors made in the USA that all cost $15 (oh, and they are also cruelty-free!). Up first is Opulent which is a metallic gold that has some darker gold shimmer in there as well if you look closely. They claim their polishes are 7 day chip resistant with 1 coat; I wasn't going to take the test, but I don't think any polish can really do that unless it is a gel polish. I used 2 coats which as appropriate, but the formula and application was just fine. Gold isn't my favorite color to wear during the year; I leave it only to December to really like them. I wore this with my other "really Christmasly" themed nails that you will see tomorrow or the next.

You can find wHet polishes on their website, Facebook, or Twitter for more information.

A Christmas Manicure

CND Pretty Poison (2 coats) and China Glaze Long Kiss on accent nail

Sorry I've been MIA lately, but you know how it is this time of year. If you celebrate Christmas, Merry Christmas! I received (and hopefully gave) some wonderful gifts, but still have a few to go with other parts of the family. Whatever you're up to, I hope you are happy and safe. I got sick yesterday so I've been sleeping most of the time. Boo! Anyway, have a good one!

Love,
Audrey

Sea Lore Polish Swatch and Review: Beluga Blizzard

Sea Lore Beluga Blizzard (3 coats)

Sea Lore is an indie brand that is new to me (I've been wanting to try them forever!) and I'm happy to show a very wintery polish called Beluga Blizzard. I love that their polishes are all aquatic themed. Beluga Blizzard is a white glitter polish that looks just like snow. It is pretty sheer, but you can definitely layer it over other colors. I used 3 coats, but in pictures you can still see some nail that I couldn't see in real life. The bottles are large and are similar to Super Black bottles. The polishes are $10 each and you can find them on their website (Beluga Blizzard is out of stock right now, but will likely make a return), Facebook or Twitter

Right on the Nail ~ Essie Core Collection Swatch and Review: Watermelon

Essie Watermelon (2 coats)

Happy Saturday! It's the weekend before Christmas! Anyone going anywhere? I'm going to DC to see some in-laws which will be nice to get away.

Anyway, can you believe that I didn't own Essie's Watermelon until now? This is one of their classic colors, so I figured it was time to get this little gem. It's more of a summery color, but it's cold here, so bright colors are welcomed. Watermelon is a pink with some red undertones...it actually reminds me of a pinker version of fruit punch. The formula was a little on the thin side, but only needed 2 coats. Have a great weekend!

Right on the Nail ~ Chloe & Bella Nail Lacquer Swatch and Review: Titanium

Chloe & Bella Titanium (2 coats)

*press samples*

When I had this polish on, I kept thinking of the Flo-Rida song and the transition metal. I'm pretty sure this polish is named after the latter, with the large flakes of silver and gold. The pictures just do not do this polish justice. It is basically the epitome of bling. Oh, and how opaque it is! This is only 2 coats here, but you can also layer it over other colors to see a hint of color sneaking through. Since these are flakes, they will lay flat on the nail with no grittiness of glitter. The only downside I can see here is the price, which is $11.95. If this is in your budget, you will not be disappointed with this color. For more information, you can find them on their PinterestInstagramTwitter, and Facebook pages, respectively.

Right on the Nail ~ Chloe & Bella Core Multichrome Polishes: Peacock and Tiger's Eye

Chloe & Bella Peacock (2 coats) over 1 coat Black Out

Chloe & Bella Tiger's Eye (2 coats) over 1 coat Black Out

*press samples*

Barbara from Chloe & Bella decided not to have a holiday collection this year, but has added some amazing multichromes to the core collection. I respect that if you don't have the time to have a holiday collection, you might as well move on to the next holiday-Valentine's Day! I'll have those to show in a few weeks, so look forward to that.

Tonight I have 2 of the multichromes with the first being Peacock. Unsurprisingly it is a blue with a strong green flash. If you love peacocks, this is a must have. The second color is probably my favorite of all of them. Tiger's Eye is a mix of copper/brown, green, and red. Chloe & Bella claim that there is also a cyan flash, but I couldn't see it. You can definitely wear these on their own with 3 coats, but they recommend that you put 1-2 coats over black for best color shift which is what I did. These were a breeze to apply and well worth the $8.95 they cost on their website.  For more information, you can find them on their PinterestInstagramTwitter, and Facebook pages, respectively.

Right on the Nail ~ China Glaze The Giver Collection Swatch and Review: Capacity to See Beyond

China Glaze Capacity to See Beyond (2 coats)

For some reason I haven't really been into the latest China Glaze polishes. As a matter of fact, none of the collections really blew me away which is sad since they used to be my favorite brand. Hopefully 2015 brings pretty and unique polishes! I ended up only getting one polish from The Giver Collection and one from the Twinkle Collection.

Anyway, it's the return of LOBSTER HANDS! Don't let him catch you or he will turn your hands red, too! I love these aqua creme polishes, but they make my camera go crazy. I received lots of praise for this on my Instagram (which you can find me at @rightonthenail) so I know this is a popular shade. And I have no idea about the movie this collection was released for. Did anyone actually see it? It may not be the most unique polish, but it is sure to catch some attention. I had no issues with formula or application in 2 coats. I did have a little bit of bubbling, but I'm pretty sure it was due to a new topcoat I was trying out.

Right on the Nail ~ Sally Hansen Velvet Texture Swatch: Regal

Sally Hansen Regal (2 coats, no topcoat)

Have you seen the new collection from Sally Hansen called the Velvet Texture collection? I heard about it, and finally found it at my local Ulta last week. I only picked up one called Regal which is a royal blue that dries darker on the nail. These dry really fast, and you need to make sure that the first coat is completely dry before doing the second. Also, you should try and make as thin of coats as possible because if they are too thick, they will take much longer to dry and may get dented. These are permanent so I don't think you need to go out and get every single one right now. I honestly don't even know how much I paid for it because I had my 20% off card and I knew I had to get one so I didn't care how much it cost. Oops!

Right on the Nail ~ Barielle Fall 2014 Jetsetter Collection Swatches and Reviews: Midnight in Paris and Rain in Spain

*press samples*

Barielle Midnight in Paris (2 coats)

Barielle Rain in Spain (2 coats)

Happy Friday! Our department holiday party is tonight so I'm decked out in holiday gear (and green fingers, of course).

I have the final 2 polishes from the Jetsetter collection from Barielle. Both are blues, but very different kinds of blues. Up first is Midnight in Paris which is a navy blue with blue and purple shimmer. Very dark and very opaque. The last polish is Rain in Spain which is a surprise for the collection because it is a very light periwinkle blue pastel color. Pastel and fall usually don't go together, but I like that Barielle stepped out of the box for this one. As always, the formula and application was great on all of them.

Right now Barielle is having a great sale every day. Sign up to get e-mails of their deals here. Their polishes normally run $8, but check the sales or free shipping offers on their Facebook page or Twitter, too.

Right on the Nail ~ Barielle Fall 2014 Jetsetter Collection Swatches and Reviews: Autumn in Seoul and Irish Eyes

*press samples*

Barielle Autumn in Seoul (2 coats)

Barielle Irish Eyes (2 coats)

What screams fall more than a metallic copper polish? Some people are against browns, but Autumn in Seoul may change your mind. Oh, and I Googled it and apparently autumn is the best time to go to Korea. I've been to Seoul 3 times and it was fairly cold every time I was there. Anyway, the formula and application was great in 2 coats, but I've seen others with longer nails say they needed 3.

We have another green in this collection, but this time it's a darker mossy green creme. It's a little dusty to be a true green for the holidays, but it's close enough. Irish Eyes also dries darker on the nail than the bottle, so be aware of that. Again, I never really have application issues, and this was no different.

Barielle had another sale today where you could get 5 polishes for $5 shipped. I don't know how fast these sell out, but I checked today at 11 and they were already sold out. Make sure to check for these great deals in the morning! Their polishes normally run $8, but check their sales or free shipping offers on their Facebook page or Twitter, too.

Right on the Nail ~ Barielle Fall 2014 Jetsetter Collection Swatches and Reviews: Gondola Ride and Kiss Me Kate

*press samples*

Barielle Gondola Ride (2 coats)

Barielle Kiss Me Kate (2 coats)

Happy Tuesday! I hope you're off to a good start of the week and getting your Christmas shopping done! Right now you can get Barielle's other 6-piece fall collection called Jetsetter. Up first is Gondola Ride which is a light sage green creme that self-leveled and only needed 2 coats. There are actually 2 green polishes in this collection which is a bit strange for a fall collection. I think it's strange in a good way. I think the problem people have is that the other one is so close in color to Gondola Ride, You'll see for yourself tomorrow.

The second polish is Kiss Me Kate which is a nude mannequin hand creme. It's nothing unique, but everyone needs a good nude polish and this one matches my coloring pretty well (I think my coloring is more yellow and Kiss Me Kate is a bit more pink). Like pretty much all Barielle polishes, this is a perfect 2-coater. Right now Barielle is having a sale every day. For example, today was 5 polishes for $5 and free shipping that easily sold out. Sign up to get e-mails of their deals here. Their polishes normally run $8, but check their sales or free shipping offers on their Facebook page or Twitter, too.

Right on the Nail ~ Rainbow Honey October Mystery Bag Swatch & Review: Cafe Con Leche

Rainbow Honey Cafe Con Leche (2 coats)

When I first opened my October Rainbow Honey Mystery Bag, I was surprised to find only 2 nail polishes (1 was a full sized basecoat). I was also a little surprised to see this light brown polish with gold and silver flakes called Cafe Con Leche. The name is oh so appropriate, but a lot of people worry about colors like these. These almost nude colors can look really bad with some skintones so I'm surprised they busted this out for October. I like the concept, but I don't really like it on me. I do appreciate the pretty flakes they put in there though. Unlike the application problems I sometimes have with Rainbow Honey minis, this one was perfect in 2 coats.

Right on the Nail ~ Chloe & Bella Indie Nail Lacquer Core Colors: Evergreen and Stormy

*press samples*

Chloe & Bella Evergreen (2 coats) over 1 coat Black Out

Evergreen can be worn alone with 3 coats, but Chloe & Bella suggest layering it over black to see the multicolored finish. It's a green and silver shimmer with some white flakes you can see if you click the pictures. Two coats over black show the duochrome finish. Application and formula were just fine.

Chloe & Bella Stormy (3 coats)

Stormy is a light grey background with a strong purple undertone. This is one of my favorite Chloe & Bella polishes! My only slight complaint I have is that it's slightly sheer and I needed 3 coats to fully cover the nail.

Right now you can get Evergreen for only $6.95 and Stormy for $5.95, so pick these up now! For more information, you can find them on their websitePinterestInstagramTwitter, and Facebook pages, respectively.
