OPI Who the Shrek Are You? (3 coats)
Who the Shrek Are You? is a very unique pea green creme. I can understand that this color isn't for everyone, but I love it! Since I work with photosynthetic bacteria, this color is near and dear to my heart. The lab next to ours works with an organism called Prochlorococcus. Prochlorococcus is a very small marine picophytoplankton that is extremely abundant in nutrient poor parts of the ocean (there can be over 100,000 cells per milliliter of seawater!). Like plants, they go through photosynthesis using carbon dioxide to produce oxygen we consume. Prochlorococcus and other cyanobacteria are so prevalent in seawater that you can thank cyanobacteria for 1 out of every 4 breaths you take! Not too shabby for a tiny organism, right? Anyway, enough of the lesson, how does it compare to Who the Shrek Are You? What do you think?

haha i love the comparison with cyanobacteria :) you should write more about scientific things - i definitely enjoy reading them
wonderful!!! I work with Sulfate-reducing bacteria from the Great Salt Lake and they don't have a color (strong odor though). =[ I do, however, have a bit of a side project with Haloarchula and these are fun little pink guys. If you read Microbe magazine I believe they were showcased in March of this year? Anyhow, nice post! I enjoy reading about my two passions!
Does this color match the AMERG shirts???
