Diamond Cosmetics Hot Lips (3 coats)

Holy weird lighting, Batman! I took this one during the fondue party so it isn't my lighting or camera. Another friend is borrowing this one so I can't redo this one yet. Anyway, Hot Lips is a bright pink jelly. Yes, 2 jellies in this collection! Like most jellies it is pretty sheer, even with 3 coats, but I had no application issues.

Barielle Out-Grey-geous (2 coats)

Firstly, I’d like to say that I’m rather psyched to be a guest blogger on Audrey’s super awesome nail blog!  I should preface this review by admitting that I’m a former nail junky that’s been dormant for about 6 years now, so revisiting the world of nail polish at our fondue party was both nostalgic and exciting!  The polish I chose from Audrey’s arsenal was Barielle’s Out-Grey-Geous.  I have a tendency to prefer colder colors that elicit a bit of intrigue, so this seemed like a good match.  Not to mention that the name is rockin.  The application was pretty smooth, but as you can see from the picture, it’s not the thickest polish out there; so 3 coats would probably be best if you’re going for the opaque look.  When all’s said and done, it’s a decent color, but I think I was expecting a bit more spunk.  Perhaps another coat would do the trick, or maybe out-grey-geous simply doesn’t work with my skin color as well as I’d hoped.  I do love the subtle shimmer though!  I’d definitely wear it again for a casual dinner or chocolate fondue party =).
