China Glaze Solar Power (3 coats)
First off, I'm happy to say that I will have a bit of a surprise in store for you. Since today is such a big day for my blog, I'm going to go ahead and spill the beans. Orly was kind enough to send me a few samples from their upcoming Sweet Spring 2010 Collection. This collection contains some beautiful creme pastel colors!
*thanks to A Polish Problem for the picture*
I won't tell you what two colors I received, so please check back tomorrow for some swatches!
On to today, Solar Power comes from the China Glaze Ecollection. This is the only polish I have from this collection, but they all look really nice. I honestly only have a few yellow polishes. This is partly due to the hard and streaky application but also because it sometimes clashes with my skintone. Solar Power did have a little issue with application (a little thick and was streaky for the first two coats), but overall I've had worse problems with yellow polishes. It's definitely a bright yellow color and seems to have some orange in it to give that taxi yellow color. If you look really close, you can see a bit of a shimmer to it which really added a little depth to the polish.

I found Solar Power really hard to apply and it didn't wear well for me, very much a disappointment.
So excited to see your Orly swatches! These new colors are so cute!
I'm wearing one of the colors right now and I must say that I LOVE it! I can't wait to post it tomorrow. As for Solar Power, I totally agree. It was one of my first yellow polishes, too...
That is a gorgeous yellow!
